Birdbath

(noun) A receptacle or reservoir of water intended for the use of birds for drinking and bathing. There are many different types of birdbaths and the size, design and construction materials may vary. Many birdbaths are ornamental as well as practical, often decorated for garden use with either natural or abstract motifs.

Use of a birdbath is an easy, inexpensive and effective way to attract birds with water. Simple birdbaths can be made from basic materials or purchased for just a few dollars, while more elaborate models that may include multiple levels or solar fountains can be significantly more expensive. Backyard birders may have several birdbaths of different sizes and styles available for their birds.
