Do not stain the bird box, because the chemicals will harm the birds. You can leave the box unfinished or choose to paint the box. After drying, mount the box on a fence or similar structure in a cool, shaded area, approximately 4-5' from the ground. Make sure there are no outdoor domestic cats in the area, otherwise, the adult and baby birds will be very vulnerable.

  3. Measure and Cut The Base Section
  4. Measure and Cut the Sides
  5. Measure and Cut the Front
  6. Measure and Cut the Top
  7. Measure and Cut the Back
  8. Assemble all but the Top
  9. Attach the Top
  10. Paint and Mount
