William is a scientist and educator specializing in the study of birds. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge of wild birds and birding, especially with beginners.

Experience:

William teaches Biology part-time at the community college level, and has taught bird-related seminars for the Seattle Audubon Society. William has also served as a lecturer and teaching assistant at the University of California, Riverside and at the University of Washington. He has contributed to numerous bird-related and wildlife research projects as a volunteer, paid assistant, paid consultant, and as a student.

Education:

William is completing his Doctorate in Wildlife Science at the University of Washington, and received his Masters Degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside. William also holds bachelor's degrees in Applied Ecology and English from the University of California, Irvine. William has published primary research in ecological and avian scientific journals. His research interests include avian ecology, avian behavior, landscape ecology, urban ecology, and the genetics of speciation.
