Birders who love cats can't help but love this week's featured bird - the gray catbird has a remarkable "mew" call reminiscent of a plaintive kitten. This bird also mimics other bird calls, nighttime frogs, machinery and more, giving it a wide range of vocalizations that make up its complex songs. That complexity is a sharp contrast to its relatively plain and simple plumage, but put together, this bird is the whole package.
