Birders in Florida have been treated to unusual vagrant sightings of this week's featured bird in recent weeks - usually the razorbill stays much further north, even in winter. But these black and white seabirds have been pushed south by severe weather, including Hurricane Sandy. While the prospects are grim for vagrant birds to survive in unfamiliar waters, it is a unique opportunity for southern birders to add a very distinct northern species to their life list.
