Australia is a fantastic birding destination, with tropical endemic birds and exotic species rarely seen elsewhere. According to Adelaide Now, several tourism agencies have joined together in a campaign to promote South Australia as a birding hotspot, wooing international birders with an ecotourism focus. The campaign is not unanimous, however, and some question its potential effectiveness when more local efforts have had only limited success.
