This month's highlights come to us one day early - who isn't counting down to the new year already? For me, the highlight of the birding month was the downy woodpecker that enjoyed swinging on my Birdie Bell feeder and the ruby-crowned kinglet that appeared just long enough to be a new yard bird; the rest of the month I've been too sick for much birding, but the backyard birds are a joy nonetheless.
On the site, I've continued to add new content all month long, and some of December's topics include...
- Where to Find Winter Birds
- The Waterbird Society
- All About Bird Digestion
- Bird-Themed Gifts for Non-Birders
- How to Attract Nuthatches
Stay tuned in January for a wide range of new content, new features, a revamped What Bird? Challenge each month, plenty of great birding books to read, and more! Don't want to miss a thing? Sign up for the free weekly newsletter so you never miss any new content!
