The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has launched its latest contest through the Celebrate Urban Birds program. This is the time of year when many people assume birds have left for warmer regions, but in fact birds are everywhere. They help themselves to what they need - food, water and shelter - but will readily accept handouts - bird feeders, bird baths and bird houses. The theme of this contest seeks to ensure that all birds have the help they require and that there is "No Bird Left Behind."
Entries can be photographs, artwork, videos, stories or poetry, but all must explore the theme of bird enjoying their habitat and making the most of what is available to them. The entry deadline is December 15, and prizes include feeders, books, posters and other birding-related gear. Learn more about the contest, and submit your entries today!
