This week's featured bird is a marathon migrator - the Arctic tern has a roundtrip migration of 25,000 miles each year between its breeding grounds in the Arctic and its non-breeding range in Antarctica. These elegant birds with their long, tapered wings are built for effortless flight and they use their skills well, often hovering to hunt.
