This week's featured bird may be common, but it can be uncommonly hard to identify - the common grackle looks a lot like its cousin grackles plus several different blackbirds. It doesn't help that different geographic populations of common grackles have slightly different plumage colors, making identification all the more challenging. But the more familiar you are with this bird, the easier it will be to be sure you know which bird it is!
