Every birder knows that corvids love to play and will readily collect and horde objects, but in Russia, a group of hooded crows has turned their games into a dangerous situation for local legislators. According to RT.com, the crows collected stones from a rooftop rock garden and dropped them on nearby cars, causing expensive damage, even broken windshields.
Witnesses attest that the birds were repeatedly pelting the cars with stones, and the more cynical - or humorous - have theorized that the birds themselves may be against the actions of the legislature.
Birds are intelligent, but its highly unlikely that the birds have any political agenda in mind, other than their own entertainment.

One of the most common things I see in our area is in early fall when the crows will grab walnuts and drop them in the street hoping to crack them open. At times I will even try to run over the nut for them making it easier to get at the treat. Not exactly “play” but I sure find it entertaining.
I saw two crows today fighting over a stone.
