This week's featured bird is a true mountaineer - the mountain chickadee prefers high elevations in the mountain west of North America, where it finds plenty of insects and seeds to eat in coniferous trees. Like their black-capped cousins, these birds are acrobatic and curious, and will readily come to feeders.
