This week's featured bird is one of the most unmistakable corvids - the green jay has brilliantly colored plumage and distinct markings. From its blue cheeks to its yellow-green wings to its long turquoise tail, this is a beautiful bird and a target species for many visitors to south Texas and eastern Mexico where this bird calls home.
