The Texas Zoo in Victoria has opened their renovated aviary exhibit. According to the Victoria Advocate, the updated exhibit opened June 27 and includes a waterfall, pond and wetland habitat modeled after the Invista Wetland. A free-flight walkthrough area is part of the exhibit, and guests can purchase tickets to feed the birds by hand. The aviary's residents include a variety of wetland birds such as spoonbills, ibises and ducks, as well as parakeets.
The exhibit has gotten a warm welcome from zoo guests, and officials have noted its increased popularity. Be sure to plan your own visit to the Texas Zoo to check out the aviary today!
