Birding in Texas

By April 28, 2012

Follow me on:

Today I begin a new birding adventure - courtesy of the McAllen Convention and Visitors Bureau, I will be spending the next week in southern Texas, not only birding, but gathering details and information to provide you with reviews to plan your own south Texas birding adventure. Never having birded in Texas before, I'm hoping to spot more than a few lifers - including the stunning green jay. I'll be visiting more than a dozen of the area's hotspots, including stops that are part of the World Birding Center and that cover a wide range of habitats - key elements for top notch birding.

If Texas isn't quite part of your travel plans yet, try some of these birding hotspots I've reviewed - each one offers superior birding and a wonderful experience besides!

And stay tuned for plenty of reviews of the best birding spots in south Texas!
